Scuba diving - Great Barrier Reef

I spent a week up in Cairns taking my scuba diving certificate and visiting the rainforest. During two days we had pool training at the ProDive diving center with our instructor Niki from ProDive, where we learned the basics of scuba diving as well as the risks that come with it. In total we were 18 people, divided into 3 groups and we stuck with these three group throughout the entire week. My diving buddy for the week was Anaïs, a super lovely girl from France, and we did every dive together. After two days in Cairns, we set off early in the morning to the Great Barrier Reef on a yacht. The first day at the Great Barrier Reef we went to Flynn Reef where we had a couple of dives in order to get certified. It was amazing to beunder water and to be able to see the life that lives around the reefs. The second and third day we moved around to different locations aroundMilln Reef. Since we were certified by then we got to dive by ourselves. My buddy Anaïs and I along with another buddy pair, Andrea and Martina from Perth, went diving together for these last two days. We also did a night dive with our instructors. That was an amazing experience. So many grayreef sharks everywhere and it looked completely different compared to the day. Another highlight was to see turtles whilst diving and the many species of fish. It was a truly amazing experience with super friendly lovely people. I will never forget this part of my trip.
